About Us
Kokoro no Link is a volunteer program that a high schooler established. In this program, we work upon the motto to “soothe loneliness” with high schoolers in the centre. Our goal is to alleviate the feeling of loneliness of people in Japan using the ideas of the next generations.
About the loneliness and isolation in Japan
Japan is one of the two countries in the world that have a Minister of State for Measures for Loneliness and Isolation. Why is that?
Approximately 40% of Japanese people, which is about one in three people said they feel lonely in 2022 research on loneliness. This percentage is double the number of England, the other country with a Minister of State for Measures for Loneliness and Isolation. In addition to. that, there are also problems like social isolation of foreign workers in Japan, and the increase of mental disorders such as depression.(Source:SDGs MAGAZINE、内閣府ホームページ、岐阜協立大学)
We are working to lessen as much loneliness as we can from this country.
